Product Description

CHES buffer is one of several zwitterionic buffers part of the Good's buffers family. With a high pKa of 9.3, CHES offers effective buffering at pH 10, useful for maintaining alkaline conditions. CHES is relatively stable buffer and has low interference with biochemical reactions. CHES buffer is widely valued for its minimal interaction with metal ions and its low toxicity. The buffer is often utilized for enzyme and protein work, specialized native gel electrophoresis, and various DNA/RNA stability studies or denaturation work.
