This concentrated 1 M MES buffer sustains a pH of 5.5 and offers excellent buffering performance in the acidic-to-neutral transition region. A Good’s buffer well-known for stability and compatibility with biological systems, MES is ideal for use in bis-tris gel running buffers, enzyme kinetics, and metal ion studies. Its lack of complexation and low optical interference support accurate and reproducible experimental outcomes.
