The qPCR Proteinase K Buffer enhances Proteinase K activity in samples, ensuring efficient broad-spectrum protein digestion. The presence of a detergent, such as Laurel Sarcosine Sodium Salt, in this buffer further enhances digestion of native proteins by Proteinase K. This buffer can therefore be used for inactivating endogenous RNases and DNases during isolation of native RNA and DNA from tissues or cultured cells and for isolating PCR and RT-PCR templates.
