The Acetate Buffer is commonly used to maintain pH within 3.6 and 5.6. Effective in applications including the purification and precipitation of nucleic acids, protein crystallization, and preparing staining solutions for gels after protein gel electrophoresis. At a 3M concentration, this buffer has a strong buffering capacity due to an abundance of acetic acid to acetate ions. This product is also tested for RNase, minimizing risk of contamination in downstream applications.
